1. About us
Packaging EPR Guide is a trading name of Ryan Leigh Jones, sole trader. Postal address: 70 Beacon Heights, Merthyr Tydfil, CF48 1NL, Wales, United Kingdom. Email: hello@packagingeprguide.co.uk. These terms apply when you use this website and when you buy a digital download from us.
2. Using the site
- The guides are general information about UK packaging EPR. They are not legal, tax or compliance advice, and we are not connected with Defra, PackUK or any regulator. See the disclaimer. Always check GOV.UK, the legislation or your regulator before you act.
- You may read, print and share links to our pages for your own or your organisation's use. You may not copy substantial parts of the site to republish or sell without our written permission.
- Our own text and design belong to Ryan Leigh Jones. Public sector information is reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
- We link to official and third-party sites for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
3. Buying digital downloads
- What you get. Each product page sets out the main features, the file formats and compatibility (for example the Excel or Google Sheets versions), the version date and the total price. Templates are data-preparation aids. They do not guarantee that you comply with the regulations, and you remain responsible for the data you submit.
- How the contract works. Orders are taken through our Payhip shop. A contract is formed when your payment is accepted and you receive the order confirmation email. Prices include any VAT due. Payhip calculates and collects UK and EU VAT on digital sales.
- Delivery. The download link is available straight away after payment and is also sent in your confirmation email.
- Cancellation. To download straight away, you must tick a box at checkout to consent to immediate supply and to acknowledge that you then lose your 14-day right to cancel. Our refund and cancellation policy explains this in full.
- Faulty or not as described. If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. See the refund policy for your remedies.
- Licence. You get a non-exclusive licence to use the template within your own business, or for one client per purchase if you are an adviser. You may not resell, share publicly or redistribute the file.
4. Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.
- If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for business losses, such as lost profit, regulatory fees or penalties, arising from your use of the free guides.
- If you use the site or buy as a business, our total liability to you under any purchase is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, so far as the law allows.

6. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version that applies to a purchase is the one shown when you bought. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and the mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live still apply.
