Refunds and cancellation
This policy covers digital downloads, such as spreadsheet templates, bought from Packaging EPR Guide (a trading name of Ryan Leigh Jones) through our Payhip shop.
Your 14-day right to cancel, and immediate download
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers who buy online normally have 14 days to cancel. For digital content that is downloaded, that right ends once the download starts, but only if you have:
- given your express consent to the download starting straight away, within the 14 days; and
- acknowledged that you lose your right to cancel once it starts.
At checkout you must tick a box confirming both: "I agree that the download starts immediately and I understand that I lose my 14-day right to cancel once the download begins." Your order confirmation email records your consent and acknowledgement.
If we don't get that consent and acknowledgement, or don't confirm it to you, you keep your right to cancel for 14 days after purchase and get a full refund. To cancel in that case, email hello@packagingeprguide.co.uk with your order number and a clear statement that you want to cancel. We will refund you within 14 days, using the payment method you used.
If a file is faulty or not as described
Losing the right to cancel does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any particular purpose you told us about, and match its description. If it doesn't:
- Repair or replacement: we will fix the file or send a corrected version within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you.
- Price reduction or refund: if a repair or replacement isn't possible, isn't done within a reasonable time, or doesn't solve the problem, you are entitled to a price reduction, which can be up to a full refund.
- Damage to your device or other content: if our file damages your device or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation.
To report a problem, email hello@packagingeprguide.co.uk with your order number and a short description, plus a screenshot if you can. We aim to reply within 5 working days. Refunds go back to your original payment method through Payhip.
Other requests
If you change your mind after the download has started and the file isn't faulty or mis-described, we don't have to refund you. You are still welcome to email us, and we will consider each request individually.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights. If you buy as a business, the consumer cancellation and Consumer Rights Act remedies above don't apply in the same way. Our terms apply instead.
